How we can help
Five areas of practice, one steady approach — for individuals and organizations across Ontario.
Every matter is different, but the approach is the same: clear advice, fair process, and fees agreed before work begins. Below is one place to see every area we practice, with examples of the work each one covers.
Not sure which area fits your situation? Skip to the bottom and we will help you find the right place to start.
01 — Practice area
Workplace law and human rights
Employment law and human rights law constantly overlap in the workplace, from terminations and accommodations to discrimination and harassment. We advise both employers and employees, recognizing that workplace legal issues rarely exist in isolation.
- Employment contracts, policies and workplace restructuring
- Terminations, severance and wrongful dismissal
- Human rights accommodation and complaint response
02 — Practice area
Workplace investigations
When workplace complaints arise, organizations often face a legal obligation to investigate them independently and fairly. Our investigations are procedurally sound, trauma-informed, and conducted by someone with no stake in the outcome.
- Harassment and sexual harassment
- Discrimination based on protected grounds
- Workplace violence, misconduct and whistleblower complaints
03 — Practice area
Mediation and dispute resolution
Effective dispute resolution requires preparation, legal knowledge, and the ability to identify interests beneath stated positions. We mediate workplace disputes, employment terminations, human rights complaints, and other matters where parties prefer resolution outside of litigation.
- Workplace and employment disputes
- Human rights complaints
- Contractual and other legal disagreements

04 — Practice area
Business & Commercial Law
We are business lawyers for people building something, from a first business plan to a company that needs to restructure or sell. We work on a retainer or project basis, so you get experienced counsel when something actually needs it, without the overhead of hiring in-house.
- Buying, selling, incorporating and restructuring a business
- Shareholder, franchise, lease and joint venture agreements
- Governance, compliance and not-for-profit organizations

05 — Practice area
Immigration Law
Immigration decisions carry consequences that reach far beyond a single application, from the right to work and study to the right to remain in Canada. We guide foreign workers, newcomers, and families from an initial application through to a hearing or judicial review.
- Study and work permits, TRVs and Super Visas
- Express Entry, sponsorship and permanent residence
- Refugee claims, H&C applications and Federal Court judicial review
