About Zitan Law
Resilient advocacy for fairer workplaces
We stand as a pillar of support during your most pivotal career and business transitions — for individuals and organizations across Ontario.

Our name
Named for a wood that does not warp
Zitan Law takes its name from zitan (紫檀) — a rare hardwood prized for its density, its quiet beauty, and its refusal to warp under pressure. That is the standard we hold ourselves to.
We believe legal representation should be as resilient and enduring as the material that inspired our name. In every case we handle, we strive to provide steadfast support and unwavering dedication to our clients' best interests.

Who we serve
For people and for organizations
We act for people and for the organizations that shape their working lives. We bring rigour, empathy, and genuine care to every matter — whether you are an individual standing up for your rights or an institution building a fairer workplace.
For individuals
We support people at pivotal moments in their working lives, their businesses, and their journeys to Canada:
- •Employees facing dismissal, harassment, discrimination, or accommodation needs
- •Entrepreneurs and individuals buying, selling, starting, or winding up a business
- •Foreign workers and newcomers navigating work permits, status, and the right to remain
- •Families pursuing sponsorship and reunification
- •Those seeking humanitarian relief or protection
- •Anyone who needs a steady advocate and a clear path forward
For organizations
We work with organizations committed to healthier, more equitable workplaces and solid legal foundations, including hospitals and health-care institutions, government departments and agencies, municipalities, regulatory bodies, not-for-profits, and businesses of every size, from new ventures to established companies.
For these clients, we conduct independent workplace investigations, develop policy, deliver training, mediate disputes, and provide employment and human rights advisory. We also act as business and commercial counsel, advising on starting, buying, selling, incorporating, and restructuring a business, and supporting governance, so organizations can build and grow on solid legal footing.
Our commitment
Wherever you sit, individual or institution, our commitment is the same: fairer workplaces and dignity for the people within them.
